All keys have been allowed to be transferred so far, so I don't expect this round to be any different.
Once the key is redeemed you are bound to the NDA, regardless of whether you are the original owner or not, of course. |

Ming Sying wrote:Any game in which the beta is used to generate revenue but its players are still under NDA sounds like a scam to me. The company can build up hype to get more users and micro-transactions, but the NDA would prevent criticism which would deter new players. Then don't pay anything - it's not mandatory. I've had beta access since May and haven't paid a cent.
Andre II wrote:Apparently my code doesn't work, I entered it but it keep saying "enter valid code" I copy and pasted it also so i didn't misspell it. When applying for a key you are asked what region it is for. Is your PSN account created under the same region? The PlayStation Store is region locked and won't accept keys for other regions (but the game itself is world-wide).
It's also possible the key system is handing out the wrong keys again. You can send a petition to [email protected] with a description of your error, your invalid key, and your country of residence (which should match your PSN region). |

Rainbow Room wrote:I've played quite a lot and well, I detest the PS3 controller for FPS games. It's completely rubbish for that kinda thing. For those of you like me, then you can get one of these to convert an xbox controller and remap the keys. 100% worth it in my opinion. Once I had one of them, it turned into an alright experience.
No need, the next update on the 21 will have KBM support - http://www.incgamers.com/2012/08/dust-514-producer-outlines-plans-for-eve-online-integration/ |

Linkxsc162534 wrote: you say that the 35digit code is for use on that dust/redeem website you link to in the first post. So what happens there, then they give you the 12 digit code to go use on your playstation? Or do they just start the download. Cause my friends got the 35dig, and he goes on his PS3 to the website and other then 80% of the time its just a white box that says 500. He puts in the code and it still pops the "enter a valid CCP code"
Use your PC to redeem the 35 digit code at the Dust website. This will give you a 12 digit key for the PlayStation Store.
The PS3 can only download games via the PlayStation Store. The browser does nothing in this regard and frankly it's rather terrible for regular browsing - don't use it if you don't need to. |

Alex Khamez wrote:Any idea whether or not it is locked to one account or to the PS3 itself? My dad and my brother both play shooting games on the PS3 much more than I do and I'm just wondering if I sign up for it with my account if they could play it too. Quote:Why did your company market DUST only for the PS3? Is this some kind of marketing ploy? Or is your company worried that if they included the PC or XBox market then the EVE Universe would perish? Strange... I'm not too sure but I think it's because Microsoft would never let a game on their market without there being a way to make money off of it. That and they're against cross console gaming.
The game is accessible to all users on a PS3 as long as a valid PSN account owning the game is linked to the console. Logging in still binds them to the NDA.
As for Dust on 360 - it is mainly because Microsoft is the Apple of the console world. As a developer you can only provide games using their servers, having updates checked by their lengthy (weeks) QA group, and content sold for their minimum set price. Basically, Dust as a game connected to EVE with free expansions would never have worked. Sony is no Google Android, but they've been much more agreeable to CCP.
PC is more of a matter of picking your markets, and isn't ruled out for a later release. |

(until an EVE buddy informed me) Thankfully, after digging through a page of Google hits I ran back into CCP/this thread, lol. (so thx to the OP!) If I like it enough I guess my next PS3 purchase will be a kb/m. (tho I'm not holding my breath) I know it's been stated that the full game will support them but can anybody confirm whether or not the beta supports keyboard/mouse input at this time? Thanks! Forgive me if I somehow missed the response to this, but is there confirmation whether or not D514 Beta supports Keyboard and Mouse? I'm going to assume the answer is no as I don't see any options for it under the Controls Menu Options. Thanks, -Wayston
KBM support is being added in the next patch.
